Right. So, last weekend I was in Hershey, Pennsylvania, where I tagged along with some dear quilters to Quilt Odyssey 2008. While waiting for them to finish their show and tell on Saturday night, I read through the summer 2008 issue of Artful Blogging.
And I had two thoughts:
-Ooo, pretties!
-I should definitely try that.
So here I am. I feel like I'm kind of cheating with this first image though, since I finished it months ago and it's not all that of a creative photograph. (Note to self: Art blogging needs different photographs than your portfolio, apparently.) But I guess that's part of this experience/experiment/thing. Figuring out how to improve what I'm doing and putting myself out there.

So, hi. I'm Casey. I mostly make shiny things (jewelry) and enamels, hence the "glass jewels" in the title. The thing above is a brooch I made, about a thousand times larger than it life size. It's really only a tad bigger than a quarter.
