Temporary studio and new work

100_1364
This is a picture of the chaos that's my temporary studio. It spreads across two other tables as well, and all three are located in part of a studio space that belongs to the same dear quilters I mentioned in the last post. Sadly, my working area usually looks like this, even in my more permanent studio. I keep hearing that it's easier to work when your space is clean and tidy, but my working habits refuse to believe it yet.

This is a piece I finished enamelling today. Tomorrow or the next day, I'll be carefully packaging it up and sending it off to Kentucky for Postage Stamps and Postcards, The Exhibition. I found the call for entry at http://www.enamelistsociety.org/FuseNews/SubPages/CallForEntryNews.html, in case anyone stumbles across this post who might be interested in enameling exhibitions or whatnot. I'm rather pleased with how it turned out, athough due to the fact that it is postage stamp sized, I didn't fit in the same quality of detail that I did onto the larger version of the design, which I'm still working on.

I feel pretty good about how productive I've been today, especially considering that I threw together the banner for this blog today too. If I'm not careful, I might manage to update this thing on a regular basis...
