Second to Last!

I just realized that tonight will be our second to last Second Friday! My move to L.A. is becoming immanent! (Which is a very good thing, because the ticks this year are horrible here.)

That said, if you live on Virginia's Eastern Shore, and haven't stopped by the Onancock School for one of our Second Fridays, time is running out! Well, to see us anyway. I share a studio space with my wonderful mother, Lois Sprague, who, all family relation aside, is an amazing quilter.

There's be quite a bit going on lately, what with the big move coming up, but I have managed to get into the studio and work on some projects. I know you're all only here for the photos, so here's one of that little silver crab I mentioned ages ago.  I'm pleased to announce that he is finally finished and listed on Etsy!  I've also been toying with some new photography, and I'm completely loving the bright colors.  Which, of course, means I probably need to rephotograph everything else in the Etsy shop.  But such is life, yeah?  Anyway, I'm super pleased with the piece, so I'll probably make more production items along these lines.  Time to brainstorm for ideas!

I've also been working on a number of other things.  I've got this terrible habit of starting new projects when I have any downtime in the studio, so I end up working on six projects at once.  Fun, but sometimes it makes things unfortunately take longer to finish.  One of the things I'm most excited about right this minute are some large sponge coral beads I picked out Tuesday from Virginia Beach Beads.  They're absolutely delicious, and soft enough to drill, so I should be able to do really exciting things with them!

Anyway, off to get some work done now!  Hope to see anyone who lives in the area at Second Friday tonight!
